My Background and Passion for Media
Growing up in the vibrant and culturally rich landscape of Jamaica, I was constantly surrounded by powerful storytelling from the rhythm of our music to the vivid narratives in our local news and community life. This environment sparked an early fascination with how information is shared and how media can shape perceptions. I realized early on that media is not just about broadcasting; it is about connection, culture, and giving a voice to the stories that define us. This lifelong passion has driven me to transition from a curious observer to an active creator in the communication landscape.
Academic Journey at UTech, Jamaica
Currently, I am a student at the University of Technology, Jamaica, enrolled in the Communication Studio 1 module. My studies within the Faculty of Education and Liberal Studies have provided me with a rigorous foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of media production. From mastering digital design in Web Design units to honing my eye in photojournalism, my time at UTech has been instrumental in refining my technical skills.
